SocialBar's menu bar popover showing a platform switcher with LinkedIn's unread count of 2, above LinkedIn's own notification bell also showing 2.
The switcher reads LinkedIn's unread count straight from the page — matching LinkedIn's own bell. Platforms whose count can't be read show a dot instead of a number, never a fake zero.

Stop app-hopping. Start posting.

Built for people who post to several platforms a week.

Badge counts, aggregated

Unread counts per platform, totalled on the menu bar icon. When a count can't be read, SocialBar says so — it never shows a fake zero.

That is the whole interface until you need it.

Compose staging

One hotkey opens every platform's own upload flow side by side, with a shared caption and per-platform character counts.

Real multi-account

Each account gets its own isolated session. Two Instagram accounts stay genuinely separate, across restarts.

Your sessions, your Mac

No API keys, no OAuth apps, no server. SocialBar uses the accounts you are already logged into, locally.

Animation cycling through SocialBar's six platform tabs: Instagram, Threads, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube Studio.
One click to any platform. Each keeps its own session and viewport, so switching never logs you out or reloads the page.

What it doesn't do

SocialBar stages posts. It does not auto-post. It opens each platform's own upload flow and hands you a shared caption to paste. It does not fill forms, schedule, or upload on your behalf.

That is deliberate. Automated posting breaks whenever a platform changes its interface, and it puts your accounts at risk. Staging just removes the tab-shuffling.

SocialBar's settings window: six platform checkboxes, badge polling interval, per-account name fields, and licence status.
Turn platforms on or off, name each account, and set how often badges refresh. Polling pauses on Low Power Mode or below 20% battery.

Pricing

Free tier included. Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription.

Two platforms, one account each. Badge counts included.

Pro — $4.99

Unlimited platforms, multiple accounts per platform, compose staging, global hotkeys and detached windows.

Privacy

Everything stays on your Mac. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no account required. SocialBar contacts exactly two things it does not have to: Gumroad, to check your license, and a small static file on this domain that keeps badge detection working when platforms change their markup.

Requires macOS 14 or later. Questions: support.
